The following are some example obituaries used in previous "Every 15 Minutes" programs.

TRICIA NAME

Tricia Name, 18, a Senior at Mansfield High School died (Date) due to injuries sustained in an automobile crash caused by a drunk driver. Tricia was born November 16, 1989 in Arlington, Texas. She was active in many school activities showing her school spirit and joy for life.

Tricia was a happy, loving, friendly, supportive person. She was planning to attend Texas State University. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. We know that she has gone to join her Savior. She was a great joy to all those that she touched. She has always been a blessing every day. Her loving approach to life and the many memories will be cherished forever.

Tricia is survived by her parents John and Bobbie Name, sister Jennifer, Grandparents Bobe BJ Name, numerous extended family members, all who loved her dearly. The Blessing Funeral Home will hold visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., (Date). A church service celebrating her life will be at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Mansfield, Texas.

The family requests donations in lieu of flowers are sent to Tarrant County Children Services to share her love with others.

EMILEE KAY NAME

Emilee was born February 4, 1991 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She passed away (Date) as a result of a drunk driving crash.

Emilee was a student at Mansfield High School. She was involved in the Athletic Trainer program for football, basketball and baseball. Emilee was a very active member of the Walnut Ridge Baptist Church Student Ministry and Chosen Youth Choir. She touched many lives through her many mission trips, choir tours and volunteer work.

Emilee was more than any parent could wish for. She had a sweet spirit that touched many people. She will always be “The One that hung the moon” to her only sister Kaylee.

Emilee was a very driven, goal oriented student that never allowed anything to waiver her beliefs. She was always the happy face in the room. Christ was the center of her life and she displayed His light in her everyday life. Her favorite verse was Song of Songs 4:7. She will be greatly missed and has received Her rewards in Heaven,

She is survived by her mother Lynnette Name, sister Kaylee Name, father and step-mother Riggs and Rebeckah Name and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

TRAVIS NAME

Travis Name, 18, died (Date) in Mansfield, Texas due to injuries suffered in an alcohol-related traffic accident. Travis was born on December 14, 1989 in Dallas.

He was a senior at Mansfield High School and would have graduated in June. He had been accepted at Texas A & M Commerce where he planned to major in Art. Travis also attended Erma Nash Elementary, Mary Orr Intermediate, Donna Sheppard Intermediate and Worley Middle School.

Travis had a heart of gold and was a very loving and giving person. He was an RST (ready, set, teach) student at Erma Nash Elementary in the Art class where he worked his talent with the students. It was while doing this that he decided to become an art teacher, in addition to the encouragement of his art teachers at Mansfield High School.

Travis’ laugh and smile was contagious. He and his brother Matt, together would keep you laughing. Life will not be the same with the loss of our kind, tender-hearted, sweet, considerate Travis. Everyone is better for having known him. He was a wonderful son and we were very proud of all his accomplishments.

Travis is survived by his parents, Don and Tamara Name; brother Matt; grandparents Mack and Marjorie Name; Troy and Billie Name; cousins, Clinton Name; Erin and Connor Name; aunt and uncle Kandi and Glen Name; aunt Lynnette Name and loving dogs, Sparky, Kricket and Lilly; plus many family and friends who loved him very much.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Blessing Funeral Home.

COURTNEY NAME

Courtney Name, 17, died from injuries she sustained in an automobile crash caused by a drunk driver on (Date).

Born January 26, 1991 in Memphis, TN she grew up in Mansfield, Texas. Courtney enjoyed attending Mansfield High School where she was a member of the Varsity volleyball team, Student Council, and was taking many AP classes. She was very outgoing and could always bring a smile to your face. Courtney was planning to attend the University of Texas in Austin after graduating in (Year). Her interest included forensic science, anthropology, and criminal justice. Her goal was to major in forensic anthropology. You could always expect to find her watching one of the following shows: CSI, Criminal Justice or Law and Order.

We will never forget the joy she brought to our lives. She will be in our hearts forever.

Surviving is her mother, April Name, father, Jerry Name and sister Kendall Name. Along with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins all of the North Texas area.

The memorial services will be held (Date) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Paul Jenkins officiating. Memorials may be made to the MADD FOUNDATION.

Arrangements are by St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

The Mansfield Law Enforcement Center was built in 1990; currently operates with the Uniformed Patrol Division, Communications Division, and the Mansfield Jail.
