MUNICIPAL COURTS
The Mansfield Municipal Court of Record offers a variety of court sessions for your convenience. To obtain information on a particular Court docket please contact the Municipal Court at (817) 276-4716. A citation CAN NOT be disposed of by phone - you must appear in person.
COURT APPEARANCES
After receiving a citation, you have fifteen (15) days to make an appearance in the Court.
Failure To Appear
Failure to appear or answer to the citation within this 15-day period may result in a warrant for your arrest being issued. A $50 fee is incurred on each citation when a warrant is issued. Although not required by law, the Court may notify you by mail when a warrant for your arrest has been issued. When issuing an arrest warrant for Class C misdemeanor offenses, the relevant information is added to the State's criminal database.
Be advised that you are subject to arrest by any agency confirming the warrant for your arrest. An arrest warrant will remain active until the fines and fees have been paid or a bond has been posted.
Because the Mansfield Municipal Court of Record participates in the Omni Base Program with the Department of Public Safety, renewal of your driver's license may be denied if you have outstanding citations, warrants, or Failure to Appear offenses. If you do not appear on a citation, the offense(s) will be reported to the Texas Department of Public Safety via the Omni Base Program. This program prohibits the renewal of a driver's license until the fines are paid or the citations are resolved. Additional Omni Base program fees will attach to each violation reported.
