LICENSE YOUR PET
All dogs and cats are required by the City of Mansfield to be licensed. The benefit of having your animal licensed is that:
- Licensed pets are MORE LIKELY to be returned home without being impounded.
- Licensed pets are held for 15 days instead of 3 days
- Other people will be able to return lost pets to their rightful owner
To license your pet you need to come by the Mansfield Animal Shelter and bring your current rabies certificate. The license cost which includes a license tag is $5 or $10 (annually) depending on whether your pet is altered.
