Post details: Recycling Reminder
Recycling Reminder

The City provides curbside recycling services for all single family residents. Bins are available at City Hall and are limited to 2 per household. If you would like more information about what materials can and cannot be included, please view this brochure. Recycling as much as we can helps reduce stress on our limited natural resources keeping costs for products low. It also keeps these materials out of our landfills helping to keep disposal rates as low as possible. For more information about recycling, follow this link to the City's Recycling Page.

For materials not included in the list, especially electronics, there are other ways to have these items recycled. Best Buy and other businesses in town provide receptacles for cell phones, ink cartridges, and batteries. The AT&T store in town provides a cell phone reuse program where useable phones are donated and distributed to men and women serving in the armed forces. There are several non-profit organizations that will accept working electronics and other materials and make them available to disadvantaged and needy households. If a piece of electronics is not working, there are several companies in the local area that can take them for recycling, however there is usually a disposal fee and the materials would have to be taken to their facility.

For any questions about the City's Recycling Program, please contact Howard Redfearn at 817-276-4240 or by email.

Thank you.
