Seeking Applicants To Fill Board And Commission Vacancies
The City of Mansfield is looking for a few good men, and women, to take active roles in city government by serving on city boards and commissions. "Volunteers are important to any city and those serving on our boards and commissions play a vital role in helping shape our community," said Mayor David L. Cook. "The more citizens are involved, the better."
Applications are now being accepted through 5 p.m. Friday, July 30, in the City Secretary's Office. The boards seeking applications are Planning & Zoning Commission, Mansfield Economic Development Corporation, Mansfield Park Facilities Development Corporation, Library Advisory Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Historic Landmark Commission and Keep Mansfield Beautiful Commission. Residents interested in applying may download an application or come by the City Secretary's Office at City Hall, 1200 E. Broad St.

2007 / 2008 Tax Related Notices
The City of Mansfield will hold a public hearing on a proposal to increase total tax revenues from properties on the tax roll in the preceding tax year by 2.99 percent. Your individual taxes may increase at a greater or lesser rate, or even decrease, depending on the change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in taxable value of all other property and the tax rate that is adopted.

The Mansfield City Council is scheduled to vote on the tax rate that will result in that tax increase at a public meeting to be held on August 27, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Mansfield City Hall Council Chambers 1200 E. Broad Street Mansfield, Texas.
