- When and where are City Council meetings held?
- The City Council meets the second and fourth Monday of each month. Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 1200 East Broad Street. The Regular Business Session begins at 7:00 p.m.
- Who is my Council Member?
- Council Members are elected at large, which means they represent the whole City of Mansfield, not just a particular area. Addresses and telephone numbers for the Council are listed on the Mayor & Council page.
- Is there a filling fee to run for City Council?
- No
- How can I obtain the City Council Agenda?
- You may call the City Secretary’s Office at 817-276-4204. For immediate access, all agendas are available on the City Secretary’s site under the Agendas & Minutes page.
- Are the City Council meetings televised?
- Yes, they are televised live on Channel 7 through Charter Communications.
- How can I speak in front of the City Council?
- See City Council 101. You may address the Council on non-public hearing agenda items and items not on the agenda under the “Citizen Comments” section of the agenda. Once the business portion of the meeting begins, only comments related to public hearings will be heard. All comments are limited to 5 minutes. Please refrain from “Personal Criticisms”. In order to be recognized during the “Citizen Comments” or during a public hearing (applicants included), a “Blue Appearance Card” must be completed and presented to the City Secretary before the meeting begins.
- Where can I obtain a VHS tape of a Council meeting?
- The duplicate video tape ($2.50) can be provided upon request to the City Secretary's Office. Video tapes are produced in real time and subject to scheduling considerations and therefore requestors will be contacted for pick up once the tape has been reproduced.
- How do I find an adopted Ordinance, Agreement, or Resolution?
- Contact the City Secretary's Office at (817) 276-4204. You can also search the City Code of Ordinances on the web.
- How do I communicate with the Council if I'm hearing impaired or physically challenged?
- City Hall is wheelchair accessible. Parking spaces for disabled citizens are available. Requests for sign interpreter services must be made 48 hours prior to the meeting. To make arrangements, call (817) 473-0211 or (TDD) 1-800-RELAY TX, 1-800-735-2989.
