PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION
The Public Works Division oversees the city's infrastructure construction (Engineering Department), maintains the city's roadways and drainage infrastructure, traffic control (Streets Department), mapping and data through the Geographical Information Systems (G.I.S. Department), storm water and flood plain management, water conservation (Environmental Services), and administering and directing all activities of Public Works (Administration).

Engineering
Engineering oversees the construction of all street, drainage, water, and sewer improvements within the City of Mansfield to ensure all new construction is in conformance with the city ordinances and specifications.

Environmental Services
Environmental Services administers and enforces the city's storm water quality activities to ensure compliance with TCEQ and the EPA. This department governs floodplain management and provides mosquito control education.

Geographic Information Systems
The GIS Department maintains and distributes geographic information, analysis tools, and mapping products for use by the City of Mansfield's staff in their daily operations as well as providing services to the citizens of Mansfield and other agencies.
Streets / Traffic Control
The Streets Department maintains the City of Mansfield's roadways in order to lenghthen their service life and to provide safe driving conditions for the citizens. They also coordinate the traffic control systems and aide in the development and maintenance of drainage infrastructure.
