PLANNING DEPARTMENT

The Department of Planning administers land use and subdivision regulations designed to encourage the development of safe, accessible, and attractive properties and the enhancement of property values in Mansfield.

The department also provides technical assistance on zoning and development matters that go before the City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The Shops At Broad Street

The Shops at Broad Street consists of 105 acres at the northeast corner of East Broad Street and N. 287. It is a proposed 1.5 million square foot mixed use development.

Sub-committees Review New Gas Well Regulations

On July 24, 2007, Sub-Committees of the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council met in a Work Session to review proposed amendments to the City's gas well drilling and production regulations. The amendments address issues related to the permitting process and technical requirements for drilling activities.

The amendments will be scheduled for public hearing at the Planning and Zoning Commission at a future meeting.
