PLANNING DEPARTMENT

The Department of Planning administers land use and subdivision regulations designed to encourage the development of safe, accessible, and attractive properties and the enhancement of property values in Mansfield.

The department also provides technical assistance on zoning and development matters that go before the City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Subcommittee Meets With Industry Representatives

On March 11, 2010, the Council Subcommittee on gas well regulations met with industry representatives to review proposed amendments to Chapter 114 of the Mansfield Code of Ordinances and to the Zoning Ordinance. After discussion, the Subcommittee recommended the proposed amendments to the full City Council for consideration. A copy of the amendments is available here.

Gas Well Drilling Subcommittee Meeting

The Council Subcommittee on Gas Well Regulations will hold a work session to review the latest revisions to the proposed amendments to the City's gas well drilling and production regulations on March 11, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room at City Hall, 1200 E. Broad St., Mansfield, Texas.
