MANSFIELD READS "ONE CITY ONE BOOK"
It's a real literary mystery!
The Friends of the Mansfield Public Library are proud to present The Last Dickens by Matthew Pearl as the selection for the seventh annual Mansfield Reads! program.
The Last Dickens is a history lesson traversing three continents, combined with a juicy mystery, based on a real literary treasure.
Pearl reopens one of literary history's greatest mysteries in his most enthralling novel yet.
What did happen to Charles Dickens' unfinished novel The Mystery of Edwin Drood?
Join everyone in the community as we read The Last Dickens to find out!
How does Mansfield Reads! work?
In the month of April everyone in the community is encouraged to read the same book at the same time. The Friends and the Library sponsor many events, programs and activities in conjunction with reading the book. Public dialogue and discussion of the book is encouraged as a way to open conversation between all members of the community. Everyone gets to share a good book!
