Printing from your Wireless Laptop Computer

We are now offering users who bring in their own laptop computers the ability to print to the library's printers. Users will need to go to the Computer Print-Outs computer that is near the photocopier and follow the directions in order to pay for prints and have them print out.  The black and white printer costs 10 cents per page and the color printer costs 25 cents per page.

Your laptop computer will need to be connected to our wireless internet.

 

Please remember to disable your Windows firewall.  Once you are connected to our wireless internet and ready to print, you need to do the following:

 

Click on the link below to start the auto- installer.

 

Download the EnvisionWare printing software

 

Click on the link that says “Download the EnvisionWare printing software”

 

Next, the following screen will appear.  Click on “Run”

 

Then the following screen will appear.  Click on “Run” again.

After you click the run tab, please wait a couple of minutes, until a minimized LPT:One Print Client window appears in the task bar indicating the application is running (this may take a minute).

 

Once the application is running, the virtual printer driver will be created within your Windows printer’s folder as shown below:

 

The Black & White Printer 10 cents per page will print to the Black and White Printer

 

The Color Printer 25 cents per page will print to the Color Printer

 

 

 

 

 

Both printers are located by the public computers near the front of the library.  Select the printer that you would like to use as the example shows below:

 

Once you tell the printer to print the following window will appear.  You will need to type your library card number in the box and then click “ok”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you do not agree with the number of pages and you want to make a change, then click “cancel”.

If you agree with the number of pages, then click “ok”.

 

The next step is for you to go to the Computer Print-Outs Computer located by the public computers near the front of the library, and follow the directions in order to pay for your prints and have them print out.

 

When you are finished, click on the window at the bottom of your screen to bring up the following window:

 

Click on the button that says “Stop Thin Print Client” and the software and drivers will be removed from your computer.

If you want to print to a library computer in the future you will need to complete this process again.  If you need assistance, please ask a staff member.
