| Printing from your Wireless Laptop Computer | |||

We are now offering users who bring in their own notebook computers the ability to print to the library's printers. Users will need to go to the self print computer that is near the photo copier and follow the directions in order to pay for prints and have them print out. The black and white printer cost 10 cents per page and color printer costs 25 cents per page.

Your laptop computer will need to be connected to our wireless network. Please remember to disable your Windows firewall. Once you are connected to our wireless internet and ready to print, you need to do the following: Click on the link below to start the auto-installer. Download the EnvisionWare printing software Next, the following screen will appear. Click on "Open" The the following screen will appear. Click on "Run"
After you click the run tab, please wait a couple of minutes and then you will then be presented with an End User's License Agreement and you must choose to Accept or Decline. If you choose Accept you will continue to move forward.
After accepting the license agreement, a minimized LPT:One Thin Print Client window will appear in the task bar indicating the application is running (this may take a minute).
Once the application is running, the virtual printer driver will be created within your Windows printer’s folder as shown below:
The HPC Printer on Envision driver will print to the Black and White printer at 10¢ per page. The HPC Color Printer on Envision prints to the color printer at 25¢ per page. Both printers are located by the public Internet computers located near the check out counter. The printers are near the copier. Select the printer that you would like to use, as the example shows below:
Once you select the printer that you want to use, the window should look like this:
Once you tell the printer to print the following window will appear:
If you do not agree with the number of pages and you want to make a change, then select cancel. If you agree with the number of pages, then select OK. The following screen will appear:
You will need to type your library card number in the box and then click "ok".
You will then see the following screen: The next step is for you to go to the self print computer that is near the photocopier and follow the directions in order to pay for your prints and have them print out. When you are finished, click on the window at the bottom of your screen to bring up the following window:
Click on the button that says “Stop Thin Print Client” and the software and drivers will be removed from your computer. If you want to print to a library computer in the future you will need to complete this process again. If you need assistance, please ask a staff member. |
