Volunteering

The Mansfield Public Library welcomes and encourages citizens to volunteer their time and talents to enrich and support library services. Volunteers are needed on a regular basis and may also be needed for special events, projects and activities.

The minimum age to volunteer is 12. All volunteers will be trained and supervised by the library staff.

Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Mansfield Public Library are an independent group of Library supporters who raise funds to supplement Library budgets and pay for special projects and programs. To join the Friends of the Library, pick up a membership form at the Library.

The Friends reguraly meet at the library. For meeting times please check the calendar. For information on the next meeting, please call the library at 817-473-4391.

DONATIONS

Material Donations

The Mansfield Public Library welcomes gifts and donations of money, books, or other library material. Materials not considered by the City Librarian to be necessary to the library collection will not be added to the collection and will be turned over to the Friends of the Mansfield Public Library book sale.

Donations are appreciatedThe library will not assign a monetary value to any gift or donation and will not accept materials that are not given unconditionally.

Donations and gifts of books, periodicals, videos, audiocassettes, DVDs, audio books, CDs, etc., become the property of the Mansfield Public Library and are subject to library collection development policies.

If requested, library staff will give the donor a receipt to acknowledge the donation.

Monetary Donations

Monetary donations will be directed to either the library donation fund, or to the Friends of the Mansfield Public Library, according to the wishes of those making the donation.
