Downloadable Audiobooks and eBooks
The difference between Downloadable Audiobooks and eBooks is:
audiobooks are sound files that you can download and listen to on your computer or portable listening device.
eBooks are books you can read from your computer or portable device.
- Overdrive (Takes you to Arlington's Public Library's Website) has a great selection of Downloadable Audiobooks and eBooks.
- EbscoHost has only eBooks. Please note that only approximately 400 titles out of 32,000 in this collection were published since 2005. Most titles are scholarly and it contains very little fiction. As a whole, it is geared mainly to support research. Most people reading for pleasure will be better served by Overdrive, which features both fiction and non-fiction, current and past best-sellers, and titles for children, teens, and adults.
