HOSPITALS SURROUNDING MANSFIELD
Mansfield is located in one of the top-rated medical and research regions of the country, with some of the country major hospitals and treatment facilities in nearby Dallas and Fort Worth.
The University of Texas Southwestern medical campus, which includes hospital facilities and one of the country’s top medical schools, is 40 minutes from the city in Dallas, while Cook-Fort Worth’s Children’s Medical Center, a major healthcare facility specializing in children, is located 30 minutes to the west in Fort Worth.
In October 2006, the doors will open on a new full-service hospital facility in Mansfield. Methodist Hospital Mansfield, a part of Dallas-based Methodist Health Systems, will initially have 80 private rooms, an emergency room and a multi-story physician’s office building. Construction on the $100 million complex will begin in early 2005.
