MANSFIELD GOLF COURSES
Mansfield offers opportunity for residents to enjoy some of the best golfing in the area. The city is home to a top municipal golf course, Mansfield National Golf Club, and a private country club course, Walnut Creek Country Club. And the city is within close proximity to dozens of area public and private courses.
MANSFIELD NATIONAL GOLF CLUB
Named one of the Top 5 municipal golf courses, Mansfield National opened in November 2000 and is operated and maintained by Evergreen Alliance Golf Limited (EAGL). Avid Golfer Magazine honored Mansfield National in 2003 with several distinctions including Best Golf Club, Best Municipal Golf Course, Best Value and Best Course to Play in Winter.

Course History:
Mansfield National was designed by local architect John Colligan, who has to his credit other Texas courses as well as Sierra Blanca in New Mexico and Canterberry in Colorado. The 270-acre course was designed with "Texas flair," taking advantage of the beautiful vistas of the Grand Prairie valley.
Course Character:
A parkland-style course with mounded fairways and grass bunkers greet players on this 6,950 yard, par 72 masterpiece. The first holes take you through a links style configuration with beautiful views of the valley. Holes 5 through 19 mazes through natural country side with each hole defined by native grasses and a low canopy forest that will provide the golfer with a sense of playing each hole in total privacy.
Mansfield National will prove to be challenging to the low handicap golfer and very playable for those who are still mastering the game.
Instruction:
The club's No. 1 goal is to be the premiere teaching facility of Tarrant County. On staff PGA professionals will provide an excellent teaching environment with a range facility second to none. The Mansfield range features an enormous tee deck with well-sculpted targets and an actual fairway with bunkers to provide for a true practice experience. Junior golf clinics are also a major part of the club's teaching program.
Clubhouse
The clubhouse features a full-service pro shop with a great selection of golf accessories and apparel. The 72-seat bar and grill will feature menu selections of down-home country fare, southwest delicacies and an extensive list of sandwiches and lunch fare.
