MANSFIELD BEAUTIFICATION EVENTS
The core of the Keep Mansfield Beautiful Commission's mission is to organize, conduct, assist, or otherwise oversee cleanup events throughout the City.
Below you will find information about the many events throughout the City, as well as links to get more information about the events, including when and where they happen, and how you can take part.
Fall/Spring Beautification Days
The Beautification Day events are organized by the Women's Division of the Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce. However, the Keep Mansfield Beautiful Commission is involved in the planning process, as well as providing volunteers.
The Beautification Day events are a chance for residents to bring in their old, bulky items. Items that are too large to set out for regular curbside pick. Residents can bring these items to the location used for free disposal.
Items can include: washers, driers, other appliances, furniture, and anything else that is too big to be picked up by regular curbside service. Tires can be dropped off, however, a small fee will be charged since tires cannot be disposed of for free. For more information about this event, visit the Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce's website.
Hazardous items cannot be disposed of at the Beautification Day events.
Mansfield Trashoff
The Mansfield Trashoff is the annual spring cleanup event where volunteers get together to remove litter and debris from natural areas. The Mansfield Trashoff is sponsored by the Clean Water Project and Keep Mansfield Beautiful.
The locations will change from year, but the event will be held the same day as the Spring Beautification Day. The Mansfield Trashoff will start 2 hours later though, so that residents can participate in both if they desire. For more information about the Mansfield Trashoff see this site.
Creekside Cleanup and Cookout
The Creekside Cleanup and Cookout is the annual fall cleanup event where volunteers get together to remove litter and debris from natural area around our drianageways. The Creekside Cleanup and Cookout is sponsored by the Clean Water Project and Keep Mansfield Beautiful.
The locations will change from year, but the event will be held the same day as the Fall Beautification Day. The Creekside Cleanup and Cookout will start 2 hours later though, so that residents can participate in both if they desire. For more information about the CCC see this site.
Neighborhood Beautification Program
The Neighborhood Beautification Program gives residents and community leaders the chance to take charge of their own cleanup event. Many supplies can be provided for free through the Clean Water Project by contacting Howard Redfearn at 817-276-4240.
A helpful manual is available to help those interested in putting together their own cleanup event. This program is designed for areas that are in need to cleaning up, but where it would be difficult to schedule a large cleanup, maybe because the area is small or on private property. Interested residents should visit this page for more information.
