The Mansfield Park Facilities Development Corporation is appointed by the city council to administer the budget generated by a half-cent sales tax approved by voters in 1992 to fund parks and recreation facilities.

Since that time, the board has overseen the construction of a major athletic complex for soccer and baseball, the renovation and expansion of several city parks and the construction of the city's first recreation center (MAC).

The board consists of seven members.

Terms

The Mansfield Parks Facilities Development Board serve staggard two year terms and meet once a month or more.

Meeting Time, Date, and Place

The board meets the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall Council Chambers. Meetings are open to the public.
